June is an exciting month for the people of Cuartero, Capiz, as the annual Agdahanay Festival takes place. This simple but meaningful event gives honor to St. Anthony of Padua, the patron saint of the town, as well as to give pride to the hospitality of the people.

“Agdahanay” means “to invite” in the local dialect of Cuarteronhons, and the festival would showcase how the people can be genuinely accommodating to guests.

The week-long celebration includes a food fest, street dancing, and cultural shows.
