Getting Lost In Sibunag

The Municipality of Sibunag in the Province of Guimaras was just established in 1995, but it already boasts a lot of natural and man-made attractions that draw local and foreign tourists.

This 12,000-hectare town is home to popular destinations, such as the Costa Aguada Island Resort, Ususan Islet, and Punta Punting Beach Resort.  Other must-visit places include the Valle Verde Mountain Resort, which sits in the middle of a hilly terrain, and the Kystell Citrus Farm, a that locally produces pomelo and oranges.

A beach stroll is one of the popular activities to do in Sibunag, but visitors can also go hiking, snorkeling, and even enjoy the Balsahan Festival, which is usually celebrated in the month of February. This festival showcases reenactments of myths surrounding the Sibunag River.
