Pause, Think, and Reflect.

By Pepin

The New Year is always full of promises – to lose weight, to make more money, or to start something different. But many of us seem to forget the other side of the celebration, and that is to reflect on what has been and prepare for something new for ourselves.

It’s always fun to welcome the coming of the year, but having a good time as the clock strikes twelve is not always about tossing of wines or igniting firecrackers. It pays to pause and reflect.

Thinking of what you have achieved or failed in the past year will help you assess and plan for the coming days. You will also be able to identify your strengths and weaknesses, as well as to understand the circumstances that happened and will be happening around you.

Moreover, it always feels good to appreciate the good times you had experienced and give credit to people or to the situations that led to your success. On the other hand, it is encouraging to look back on your down times and think on how you can improve things for the better.

Our life needs constant reflection, not only during the New Year. Every day we struggle to meet the demands of change and we need to take recess from tough situations to think before we act again.

Well, it’s the New Year. Start it right through a heartfelt reflection. Let the positive vibes dwell in your heart and mind so that you will feel a new you.
