Food Stops you shouldn’t miss

Travelling can consume a lot of energy making you, well, crave for food. Luckily, food hunting isn’t a hurdle when you’re travelling around Panay region. There are hundreds of food stops where you can satisfy that grueling hunger.

Doming’s talabahan in Miag-ao, Iloilo is one of the favorite stopovers for those who are exploring Southern Iloilo. Their specialty? Well, talaba (oysters) tops the list, but you should also try their kinilaw, KBL (Kadios baboy Langka) soup, and chop suey that are equally irresistible. The simple yet refreshingly breezy ambiance makes it an ideal place for short naps too.

Hopping around Roxas City, Capiz will lead you to a place called “Baybay”, a long stretch of gray shore lined with different seafood restos. You can simply get in to any of these and enjoy a fresh catch of fish, mussles, squid, lobsters, and a variety of shellfish grilled right in front of you.

Floring’s Carinderia in the town of Bugasong, Antique was once featured on national news. Their specialty – native chicken – is a big hit among local travelers. Enjoy your very own native chicken cooked in inasal style or added to a hot soup.

And if you happened to find yourself in the powdery white sands of Boracay Island in Aklan, don’t forget to indulge on fresh fruit shakes at Jonah’s.
