Feature:

Finding Yourself In Iloilo City’s
Party Hub

By Pepin

The city of love, Iloilo, is slowly becoming a metropolitan of euphoria. With its business rising in the last ten years and more investments are pending to enter, this once “Queen City of the South” is back in the limelight with more to offer.

One of which is the Smallville Complex in Diversion Road, Mandurriao that houses various bars and resto. This is a perfect place for night parties, as well as memorable dinners.

On the east is the popular Board Walk, where some of the restaurants that cater Ilonggo’s finest delicacies is situated. It has a wide parking space and a breezy ambiance, because part of the Iloilo River flows as its breathtaking background. Paprika, Ramboy’s, and Mangay’s are only three of the six eating spots at this side of the complex.

If you are looking for some spicy Thai fancy, or some tasty off-the-grilled steaks, you should pay a visit to the west part of the complex where more of the finest bistros in the city that specialize in European, American, and Southeast Asian treats are located. Restaurants like Mojave, Bauhinia, Freska, Krua Thai, Afrique’s, and Imay’s will definitely stuff your grouchy stomach while you’re in Iloilo. And if you want a relaxing tea-time or a cup of coffee with peers, Smallville is also jam-packed with cafés (Coffeebreak, Kopiroti, David’s Tea House) that are truly world class.
Night life will not be complete if you will not strike your dance moves in Smallville’s disco houses. Ice of MO2 and Flow do have burning dance floors at night. But if you are off for a simple beer cheer, then you should sit at Shipwreck or Red.

Iloilo Business Hotel and Westtown Hotel and Convention Center offer a soothing place to stay for tourists who do not want to leave the complex. Westtown is also well-known for its state-of-the-art swimming pool.

But the most exciting part of being in Iloilo’s party hub is the people you meet around. They will treat you with their welcoming smiles and they would be more happy to see you around partying all night.
