Songwriting Competition

Calling all Antiqueño musicians and music lovers around the globe, the Provincial Tourism Office of Antique, together with the Sangguniang Panlalawigan of Antique, give you a chance to showcase your song writing skills in the first ever edition of the Original Kanta Kiniray-a (OKK) Songwriting Competition.

Competition Guidelines:

• Open to all Antiqueño all over the world

• Lyrics must be in Kinaray-a and should be based in the following theme: life, dreams, success/failure, nature, journey, or sanguine

• There are two categories: Professional (for those who have already produced and popularized music album) and Amateur (for those who are yet to start composing songs).

• Important Dates:

March 30 – Audition for the Amateur Category at the Municipality of Culasi

April 7 – Audition for the Amateur Category at the Municipality of Bugasong

April 14 – Audition for the Amateur Category at the Municipality of San Jose

April 16 – Pre-briefing of qualifiers

April 17 – Semi-finals at Gaisano Grand Mall of Antique

April 23 – Deadline for the submission of entries for the Professional Category

April 29 – Grand Finals (Professional/Amateur Categories) at EBJ Freedom Park, San Jose, Antique.
